Joining Live Workshops & Events
The online portion of DHSI has several aligned conferences and events and online lectures available to attend via Zoom. To join in, just follow the instructions below. Note that workshop instructors may have different information about how to join workshop sessions. Please make sure to follow any instructions they provide to join in your workshop.
1) Download Zoom
The online portion of DHSI is primarily on Zoom. To join, you’ll want to make sure your application is up-to-date and that your display name aligns with the name provided on your registration so that we know to let you into the sessions. For more info about how to set-up Zoom, click here.
2) Save your links
During the weeks coming up to DHSI you will receive some emails with Zoom links and other information about how to join the live virtual sessions you’ve registered for. Please be sure to save this info so that’s on hand when event time comes. We highly encourage copying the links into a calendar event for maximum convenience.
3) Join us online
When it’s time for your event, just click on the corresponding Zoom link and we’ll see you there! Please also be sure to review the Statement of Ethics & Inclusion as well as our Accessibility & Social Media Guidelines to ensure the best experience for everyone at DHSI.
During the session:
For online lectures and aligned conferences and events you will be asked to keep your camera and mic off.
Each session will have a designated technical assistant. If you have any technical issues, send a direct message to them in the chat. They’ll introduce themselves at the beginning of the session.
The Zoom sessions are equipped with a Q&A feature so that you can ask questions directly to the presenters.
